If you’d like to access Medicare rebates, arrange a current GP referral (dated within 12 months of our first appointment) and have it sent to me before that session. Your GP can forward it, or you can email it to hello@bumptobloompsychology.com.au.

Session duration: 50 minutes
Session fee: $240
The first session is about getting to know you and clarifying what you hope to achieve in therapy. It may take a few sessions to gather your full history, which helps me form a complete picture so I can support meaningful change. Together we’ll review your goals and I’ll share a treatment plan, so you’re actively involved and understand what we’ll be working on.

Medicare's 'Better Access' program provides rebates for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. To access this, you will need to visit your GP to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral. Your GP will approve an initial 6 sessions. Your psychologist is required to provide updates to your GP as part of this program. After the initial 6 sessions, you may return to your GP for a review of your MHCP, which can allow access to a further 4 sessions. The Better Access program also includes Telehealth appointments.
If you have a valid GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Rebate amount: $98.95 per session (General Psychologist)
Out-of-pocket cost: $141.05 per session
Please note. Clients are charged the full session fee at the time of the appointment. Medicare rebates are processed after the session and paid directly into your nominated bank account registered with Medicare.
To receive the rebate, please email a copy of your GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan to hello@bumptobloompsychology.com.au prior to your first appointment.
Some private health funds may also provide rebates for psychology sessions, provided you are not eligible for a Medicare plan/all sessions on your Medicare plan have been used. Please check with your individual insurer.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice before cancelling or rescheduling an appointment so I can offer the time to someone else. If I am able to fill the appointment, no cancellation fee will apply. If I cannot fill the appointment, a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the session fee will be charged. A no‑show will be charged the full session fee.
